DCP-8 DIFFERENTIAL CURRENT PROBE

The Differential Current Probe (DCP) is a very small, high-frequency probe which measures currents on the center conductor of small coaxial cables. The output signal is differential and is carried over a balanced pair of coaxial cables so that the probe may be used in a low-level y- or x-ray environment. The common-mode Compton currents generated in the probe and output cables can therefore be removed with a balun (such as the DMB-1; Data Sheet 1300).
