ACG-7 PULSE GENERATOR
The ACG-7
generates a positive, fast risetime pulse for general diagnostics
and calibration of wideband data transmission systems. The output
pulse into 50 ohms exhibits 10V ±5% amplitude, nominal
50 ns width, and ~1 ns risetime.
The ACG-7
is battery powered and may be operated in repetitive, manual,
or external trigger modes. In the repetitive mode, the pulser
free runs at approximately 1 kHz. A trigger output is available
for sync to external equipment. IN the manual mode, one pulse
is generated each time the manual pushbutton is depressed. The
trigger output is also available in this mode. For external
trigger, a positive pulse of 5V into 50 ohms should be applied
to the trigger in/out port. The maximum repetition rate for
external trigger is approximately 1 kHz.
The
ACG-7 is powered by two 7.2 volt, 225 MAH nickel cadmium (NICAD)
batteries and requires a charger or power supply with 16 to
18 volts, 25 mA minimum output for charging.
