The ACC-43 cable compensator is a passive network used to flatten
the frequency response of a coaxial cable over a bandwidth up
to 400 MHz. This compensation eliminates the need for corrections
for cable response in risetime determinations.
The unit can be adapted to the customers choice of standard
RF connectors, cable type, and cable length. (For unusual cables,
customer must furnish either the cable or the cable attenuation
vs. frequency data).
The signal
attenuation of the ACC-43 will equal or exceed the maximum cable loss
over the bandwidth specified. The total attenuation of the cable/compensator
combination will be adjusted to a convenient value (e.g., 3, 6, 10,
12, 14, or 20 dB).
